This has been used by my daughter, now 10, since she was about 18 months. Without it she gets almost instantly bunged up ... with it she leads a perfectly normal life with no ill effects. I do slightly worry that her body has never "trained" itself to better manage food transit but we are assured this will come. In the meantime she eats more fruit than any other child I've met which can't be a bad thing.
